the Novella Collection: "The Elders"
“The stories behind the birth of the planetary spirits are presented (‘The Great Architects’ – when they address each other, ‘The Awakened’ – when they present themselves to other species, ‘The Eternals’ – as they are called by neutrinos, and ‘The Elders’ – as they are perceived by Homo Sapiens). The events of the series focus on their birth, long before they questioned the existence of the Homo Sapiens species, in the novel ‘The Revival’.
With the help of technologies intuited in the first volume of NEW HORIZONS and described in more detail in the second, the planets of ‘The Elders’ are discovered and researched, gathering fragments of information found about the species that lived there, so that in the end their worlds could be recreated in the ‘Historia Universalis’ library and made available to any conscious species in the galaxy.
In the ‘The Elders’ collection, we discover new species, which at first may seem a little too alien to the way humans feel, think. However, as we delve deeper into reading, we will begin to find similarities…”
“I had to read the introductory part twice and sometimes during the reading, I came back to it. What I found very interesting (and I am an old-time sci-fi reader) is the way a new species was imagined. I admit that it is a concept I have not encountered before. I eagerly await to see what the author has in store for the other novellas in the series and I am curious to find out if he will manage to surprise me again.”
Marian
“After the first novel and while waiting for the next ones, I felt this novella as something comforting, special… like a summer rain.”
Ana Z.
“It made me wonder how different other species could be from us. How differently they would look, communicate. Although I felt the strangeness of the characters while reading, somehow, I managed to get closer to them. Perhaps some things transcend any barrier, beyond appearance, communication.”
