the NEW HORIZONS series
The series starts at the end of the year 2024 in the first novel, continues about six years later in “Humility”, goes back approximately 12,500 years in “Traces”, then returns around the year 2150 in “Fears”, and with the last novel of the series, “Silence”, reaches the year 2390.
“New Horizons” is the path through which this new universe waiting to be revealed opens up. The events that take place here will influence not only the history of humans. That’s why the title, as the threads of the stories intertwine, will take on perhaps unexpected meanings. Both in each of the five novels of the series and taken as a whole, what is perceived as “new” horizons, over hundreds, thousands of years, when conscious life will look back, will be just long-set horizons…
"The Revival" - novel 1
As an author, one of the greatest joys is when you receive a message, whether from acquaintances or not, it doesn’t matter, in which the thoughts that your lines have provoked are shared with you. Sometimes simple words are enough to give you the power to go further, to think about… new horizons or to brighten a more difficult day. Below are some of those… joys.
“The events of the book are so well-coalesced that at one point you wonder if this book is fiction or an explanation of things that happen in real life. In each character, you find someone you personally know in your surroundings, and thus it’s as if you yourself are an active participant in the narrative thread. The differences between worlds, between entities, are so distinctly described that you get the feeling they are not at all created, but merely portrayed in their true realities. The resolution, the apotheotic ending of the first volume is so natural, and so unforeseen at the same time, that I can only wait eagerly to witness the next discoveries of the characters.”
Diana M.
“The book brings together a multitude of ideas and concepts that, collectively, support an engaging story. Of course, the author being at the beginning of his publishing adventure, some corners or edges could still be polished, but the premises are there, and the action is sufficiently brisk, with reflective pauses here and there.”
Bogdan
“I must admit that I started reading with some hesitation: a beginner author (Romanian), first book, Bucharest, 800 pages, or nearly so. But I said it’s worth giving it a chance. After all, I can stop at any time. Not only did I not do that, and it really caught me, but I can hardly wait for the continuation. I hope it will have at least as many pages…”
George
“It’s been some months since I finished reading the book. Because of my job, I occasionally pass by Mega Mall, on Pantelimon, on Chișinău Boulevard. I look at places that appear in the novel and the images from the novel come back to me so vividly that it seems hard to believe they didn’t actually happen. I expect to see marks on the walls of the building from the attack. I’m surprised I don’t see the Paradis building. I can hardly wait for the continuation. And I’m pretty sure I will read it with the same pleasure, breathlessly.”
Adrian
“Few books have impacted me so much. Questions posed by the author through the characters have stayed in my mind, to which I try to figure out what I would answer. Somehow, they make me be more attentive and more conscious of the way I interact with those around me. I thought it was just a sci-fi book. But at least for me, it means much more. It’s a book about life, choices, and consequences. I recommend it to anyone to read it, even, or especially to those who don’t believe in science fiction.”
Dana D.
“I’m not a sci-fi fan. I watch movies, but I think this is the first sci-fi book I’ve read. And that’s only because a friend recommended it to me. Honestly, I was impressed. It’s as if another world has appeared over the world I live in, that is, through Pantelimon. And although I cried, I finished it with a smile on my face. I feel that I will read it again in the future.”
